Full Moon Meditation & Intention Setting: Tuning Into the Power of the Goddesses:: Bhuvaneshwari

The full moon is an especially powerful time to reflect and set your intentions. It's the ideal opportunity to harness magical Shakti energy, and channel it towards your deepest desires and dreams. Each full moon meditation workshop is geared towards tuning into the power of Shakti energy through exploration, invocation and connection with the Goddesses of Yoga. This event is open to anyone along the gender identity spectrum and this is an LGBTQ+ friendly event.

For this full moon, we will be focusing on Bhuvaneshwari, Goddess of Infinite Space and Infinite Possibility. Her name means "she who holds the cosmos in her embrace." She is the space between everything, she is the divine void, she contains the cosmos inside of her, and transcends it. Invoking Bhuvaneshwari can help you let go of anxiety, fear, guilt, loss, and excess of thoughts: her spaciousness dissolves it and transforms it into energy or peace.  She is an ideal goddess to invoke for meditation because tuning into Bhuvaneshwariconnects you to the cosmos, to earth, and to all living things.

What you can expect: candles, oracle cards, creativity, journaling, guided meditation, intention setting, body movement, yoga nidra, and connection with a community full of beautiful souls. Come and nurture yourself, and honor and channel the Shakti energy within you.

You will receive a crystal to take home with you that will be infused with your intentions and the energy of the evening.

Friday, August 4th, from 6-8:30pm.

AWAKE Experiene: ONE-DAY MINDFULNESS RETREAT

AWAKE is a day-long mindfulness experience including mindful meditation, dharma talks, qi gong/ti chi, music, chant, yoga nidra and more led by your favorite guides in your own back yard. AWAKE is chance to slow down and spend a day mindfully uncovering the true YOU. We are sure you will leave feeling embodied, radiant, peaceful, at ease and ready to connect more deeply with your life and the relationships within it. Enjoy this retreat from every day busyness to experience YOU. YOU are NOT the roles you play, the things you own or the emotions you have. YOU are limitless, pure, peaceful and powerful potential just waiting to be discovered.

How it works…
Mindfulness is present moment awareness. Without a mindfulness practice you most likely spend your days planning the future or worrying about the past. You may be busy trying to get happy by working hard to change external, worldly things like your roles, job, income, material items and relationships. At AWAKE you spend the day coming back again and again to presence. This is where you’ll discover everything you’ve always wanted is already within. You will see directly that you already are complete. Already one with source/God/peace. Throughout your day you’ll be guided by multiple masterful guides to return to your body, breath and peaceful mind. You’ll deeply feel the your sensations, you’ll tune into your mind, you’ll hear the music and see the beauty of your surroundings. You will AWAKE to the true YOU.

Tickets are by donation. Suggested donation is $54-108.

Roll & Restore

A Bodymind Ballwork/Restorative Yoga Workshop
with Kristine Whittle, LMT, E-RYT 500, YACEP

Want to Melt Away Tension and Replenish Vital Energies?

In this two hour self-care practice, we’ll roll on rubber balls to gently massage and stretch our neck, shoulders, torso, hips and legs; then relax into a sequence of Restorative Yoga postures to afford our body-mind the deep rest, quietude and healing it longs for.

Bodymind Ballwork is a bodywork system that employs rubber balls of various sizes and textures to ease tension in muscles and fascia. It can be an effective preparatory technique for yoga or other movement practices to loosen up and increase joint mobility. It is incredibly empowering in that once you learn the basics you can do it on your own at any time to relieve stiffness and pain.

Restorative Yoga is a practice of receiving- rather than doing- yoga. “The objective of each restorative pose is to surrender to gravity and compression, to sink down and find connection with the experience of limitless support…this provides the still, quiet affirmation that everything is supported, and that everything returns home. “ -Matthew Remski

The marriage of these two modalities goes well beyond a few relaxing stretches: it gives us permission to truly let go and soften into a profound experience of freedom.

Accessible to people of most any age or physical condition. Balls and Props will be provided.

Investment: $49 (includes the cost of your own set of balls to take home)

"The art of mothering is to teach the art of living to children" – Elaine Heffner

Motherhood can be a thankless job (quote from my mother, as said to me when discussing my daughter, #thestruggleisreal). Taking care of others, definitely happens. Taking care of ourselves, depends on the day, week, or year. Come learn tools that can help you nourish your soul and silence that inner critic we all carry around. That one that chimes in, telling us if we are “doing it right or not!”

Research suggests that one of the most important things our kids can inherit, is our life philosophy. Be a role model for your kids about how to approach life with a curious soul and a joyful heart.

Learn mindfulness techniques, self-care tips, and self-compassion strategies to silence the inner critic and invite more gratitude, curiosity and compassion into our lives and the lives of our children.

Wall Alignment Workshop

with Kelli Gould

This fun workshop is open to anyone who would like to learn how to use the wall to explore, deepen and discover their own personal yoga alignment. Every “body” is different so there is not a “one size fits all” alignment in yoga. I will help you discover your own true alignment for a variety of poses.

This workshop is a “game changer” for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Students will learn how to use the wall to their advantage for alignment and assists. Yoga teachers will learn to assist their students in better overall alignment to achieve maximum success in their poses.

You DO NOT need to be advanced in your yoga practice to sign up for this learning workshop! I will be breaking down some common yoga poses to show you ways to better align yourself even when you don’t have the benefit of a “wall” to assist you.

Saturday, May 6 from 3-4:30pm.

$25 pre-register, $30 day of

Testimonials:

"As a student, learning how to use the wall helped me to feel correct alignment. The first pose I learned at the wall was triangle. Using the wall helped me straighten out my back and truly feel what the pose was supposed to feel like. Over a year later, I think of it every time I move into triangle pose. And really, there is nothing better than final savasana with legs up the wall!" - Ann Dowell

"A win-win for students and teachers alike! In this fun, informative workshop, Kelli gives the students a clear understanding of proper asana form and offers helpful ways the wall might be used to guide and achieve correct alignment for each individual’s body. As a yoga teacher, I found revisiting these techniques a worthwhile refresher, while I also benefitted from learning useful, new wall techniques to incorporate in my own teaching and practice!" –Meredith Wanner

Full Moon Meditation and Intention Setting: Tuning Into the Power of the Goddesses

The full moon is an especially powerful time to reflect and set your intentions. It's the ideal opportunity to harness magical Shakti energy, and channel it towards your deepest desires and dreams. This is the first of a series of Full Moon meditation workshops geared towards tuning into the power of Shakti energy through exploration, invocation and connection with the Goddesses of Yoga.
For this Full Moon, we will be focusing on Saraswati, the Goddess of speech, music, poetry and intuition. She exists inside of you as your intelligence and creativity; she facilitates the gift of elegant speech, and tunes you into the power of your own intuition and the truth of your heart. Her name means "she who flows" and her skin is said to be translucent, the color of moonlight. Tuning into and invoking Saraswati will help you to gain more insight and awareness into your truth, she will help to guide your next steps in this life, she will inspire and help manifest the creativity already inside of you.
What you can expect: candles, oracle cards, journaling, guided meditation, intention setting, yin/yoga nidra, and connection with a community full of beautiful souls. Come and nurture yourself, and honor and channel the Shakti energy within you.
You will receive a crystal to take home with you that will be infused with your intentions and the energy of the evening.
